Today is my last day of classes at FSU. Next week is finals week. It’s a little sad, but not really. I mean, I’ve spent more time in the Computer Science building than in my home these last three years. That’s nothing though - Mark’s been here for almost a decade! He’s crazy. (I probably won’t be saying that when he’s making over $200K a year though…) Actually, believe it or not, I may *try* to get a PhD. myself someday. It would be utter hell for me, but I could do it if my research area was interesting enough. We’ll see.
I can honestly say this semester I’ve had the worst teacher (he’s not even a professor) of my life. He teaches my Systems Administration class, which is too bad because I was looking forward to learning some practical things. I do admit I was warned ahead of time about the teacher, but I didn’t think anyone could be THAT bad. The guy literally had conversations with himself. Regardless, you could sit in the front row and still barely hear a word he was saying. His slides were also terrible. 50% of them were dumps of Linux system calls or configuration files. It’s too bad. I hope he just sticks to administering systems and gives up (or gets fired) at this teaching thing. On that note, I have to finish up an assignment for him. Later!
I’m going two for two with this post thing, but I’m hungover and want to watch tv. Goodnight.
Per friends’ requests, here is my first blog. Welcome. Just to warn you in advance, I’ll probably forget this thing exists and forget to write. My goal is to write everyday while I’m backpacking in Europe, but I’ll probably be way too drunk to use foreign keyboards. I’ll do my best.
